Roman silver Tetradrachm minted 238-244 AD during the reign of Gordian III.

This coin was minted in ancient Syria while Seleucis, Pieria, Antioch and Orontem were under Roman control.

  • Obverse: Bust of Gordian III, Greek legend surrounding.
  • Reverse: Eagle with wreath in beak; Greek legend surrounding.

Custom mounted into a sterling silver bezel pendant with 14k yellow gold prongs and bail. Measures approximately 1 1/2 inch from the top of the bail to the bottom of the bezel, 1 1/4 inch across.
