45 caliber Kentucky style rifle manufactured circa 1845 by George Goulcher.
Striped walnut stock.
6 brass inlays on right side of rifle, 2 inlays on bottom behind triggerguard, 7 inlays on left side, including large Eagle with wings outspread on the cheek rest.
Marked GOULCHER on lockplate.
Approximate overall length: 53 inches, 36 inch heavy octagon barrel.
** Condition note – screws and ramrod thimbles have been replaced at some point in the past 175 years.
