Roman silver Denarius minted 117-138 A.D. during the reign of Hadrian

Obverse: Laureate bust of Hadrian; legend IMP. CAESAR. TRAIAN. HADRIANVS. AVG. surrounding

Reverse: Providentia standing, holding sceptre and pointing with right hand at globe at feet; legend PRO AVG / P M TR P COS III surrounding.

Custom mounted into a sterling silver bezel pendant. Measures approximately 1 inch from the top of the bail to the bottom of the bezel, 3/4 inch across.

Successor to Trajan and third of the Adoptive Emperors, one of Rome’s most capable Emperors. Rome was in its Golden Age during his reign.
